NOVEMBER 1st, 8th: CD Harley Kaplan, Powers Kaplan Casting. 1st session: sides (TV, film) or Monologues. Bring sides for reader, if necessary. He will supply material for2nd session.
Harley Kaplan is a co-founder and casting director with Powers/Kaplan Casting, a bi-coastal casting office that specializes in independent film. Current and upcoming projects include Sony Pictures' Untitled Mike Figgis Film, 8000 SHOTS, THE LAST TIME I SAW YOU BLESSED, THE GLASS CAGE, EMPATHY INC, BUCK RUN, BENJI THE DOVE, NEW MONEY, NOBLE EARTH, RIVER OF DARK PURPLE, SWING AWAY, ONE PENNY, ROOM SERVICE, LAKEVIEW, and the television pilots BENNIE'S, IN REALITY, and COUCH CRASHERS. Harley began his casting career with the legendary office of Hopkins/Smith/Barden, where he worked as a casting assistant on movies such as BOYS DON'T CRY, THE CIDER HOUSE RULES, and SIMPLY IRRESISTIBLE, as well as HBO's television series SEX AND THE CITY. He later served as associate with PalmStar and S2 Entertainment on an array of films, including JACK AND DIANE, FOR ELLEN, GUN HILL ROAD, UNION SQUARE, SILVER TONGUES, and THE GIRL IS IN TROUBLE. Since forming Powers/Kaplan in 2010, Harley has cast the award-winning BLUE RUIN and THE COMEDY, as well as MAMAROSH, THE SECTOR, THE TELL-TALE HEART, and promotional campaigns for SONY, RANDOM HOUSE, EF LANGUAGE SCHOOLS, CAROLINA HERRERA, and PURISTICS. Harley has also written and produced short films and executive-produced the features BUCK RUN, DEATH4TOLD, and TEMPTATION.

Kevin is the current Casting Associate at Wojcik/Seay Casting, where he has the pleasure of being part of the casting team for the national tours of RENT The 20th Anniversary Tour, Kinky Boots, and Motown the Musical, as well as casting productions for The John W. Engeman Theatre, Stages St. Louis, Tuacahn Center for the Arts, and various commercial and print projects. Kevin began his career studying at the Orange County High School of the Arts in Santa Ana, CA, and earned his BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Prior to joining Wojcik/Seay, he was Casting Assistant at Joy Dewing Casting, and served as Industry Liaison for The Actor’s Green Room, a film & television based networking and acting studio. At AGR he worked alongside the industry’s top agents and casting directors to create seminars and classes for actors, and he co-created their premier musical theatre intensives. Kevin frequently teaches and participates in casting workshops for Broadway Artists Alliance, Broadway Dance Center, AMDA, Beacon Performing Arts Center, The Amy Murphy Studio, and Sharp Studios.
